Tailoring – Fully Custom Guitar Design

MY APPROACH TO TAILORING

I’ll listen to all the music you provide to capture the exact tone you love. By understanding your musical style, I can tailor the guitar’s voice to match your artistic vision. I’ll also ask for photos of you playing to assess your posture and how you hold the instrument, both standing and sitting. This helps ensure the guitar is ergonomically designed for maximum comfort and playability.

We’ll create a detailed list of your favorite neck profiles, and I’ll ask for pictures of your left hand while you play to shape the neck perfectly to fit your hand. Every detail, from color and binding to inlays, is customizable, and we’ll work together to explore all options to make your vision a reality.

Configure your instrument

together we'll decide woods, pickups, hardware and details to fit your needs and taste

Project

I'll design your guitar and send the design to you before working on woods. Everything can be changed: scale lenght, shape, curves, bevels, neck width...

Preview

Once the project is finished, I'll make a preview using the photos of the woods we selected to understand how it will look exactly

Building process

I'll start building your guitar but EVERYTHNG can still be changed if I haven't done it yet. I'll contact you before every crucial point to discuss about it

Neck Tailoring

I'll ask you for your favourite necks to get the dimensions, then I'll ask you for some photos and video of you in playing porition to understand exactly how you hold and grab the neck to shape it.
I'll mimic your favourite neck BUT improving the grip points basing on your left hand position and technique!
It has to be familiar and the best neck you ever tried at the same time

Bevel tailoring

I'll use the same photos you sent for the neck to shape the body bevels. I'll shape it considering how you hold the guitar, which leg you use as support when you play sitting.
It will be comfortable, it will fit perfectly your position, at the same time it will help to hold the guitar in the correct position since it won't be too big

Colors and finish

I'll make different tests of the color we chose on your top scraps.
To correct or create a new dye that has the hue you're looking for and to understand how to manage it on the top

Set Up

Before shipping I'll setup the guitar using your favourite strings and tuning. The guitar will be ready to use: no extra work on the nut, no setups etc.
I can also calculate and create custom strings set to optimize the tension

Optional: Pickups

You've not found your favourite pickup yet? well, I collaborate with Alma pickups to create your own pickup: I just need for some pickup for reference and the tone you're looking for! Alma and I will design it to work perfectly with the woods, scale, tuning we chose for your instrument and optimize your tone.
